As you may or may not know by now, the new Microsoft Windows Phone 8 OS by default has an option called “Lens” and it by default offers you “Bing Vision” or others available via web.

What is Bing Vision? This is basically what already exists in Windows Phone 7, Barcode/QR Codes; Text Scan to Translate; Microsoft Tag’s and so forth.

Now, who else has Lens out the gate? CNN Interactive (“CNN”), Jolly Dream Studios (“CamWow”), and Snapp (“FidMe”). CNN one doesn’t make too much sense yet BUT the CamWow Lens let’s you Distort, fatten, pinch, stylize, and use real-time filters and as they claim, just like ‘Photo Booth’.

So, one of many great new things coming to your Windows Phone 8 Handset. I will be talking about some of the other great features soon as well, so check back often but… Share with me on Twitter (@LanceSeidman) photos you take using your WP8 Device and if you use any Filters, that be great to see!
