I have had a few folks contact me on my contact form that they’ve tried to use Nodejs and trying to use npm on there PC running Windows 8.1 but fails and gives them an error similar to: “Error: ENOENT, stat ‘x:\Users\<Your_User>\AppData\Roaming\npm”.

That being said? You can easily fix this issue by just creating a new folder called “npm” in that Roaming folder on your PC. Which you could do via the File Explorer and navigate to the address that is being claimed in error (Roaming).

If you’d like to do it quickly? Open a Command Prompt and type: “mkdir  x:\Users\<Your_User>\AppData\Roaming\npm” then press [Enter]. Of course you remove the X for the real Windows Install Drive (e.g. C) and replace the <Your_User> with your username(s).

Good luck and happy programming!
